The Holidays

I am SO GLAD the Holidays are over!!!

I LOVED seeing family... BUT....

I ate CRAP!

For maybe, say, the past month????

I felt constantly guilty, but I did find myself in many situations where I had no choice. 

How were your Holidays?

The Good news is I had a FABULOUS time!

The Bad news:

This next week I will be taking a 3 day trip to California, then another 3 day trip to Overton, Nevada!!!!

And I will also be in Disneyland. 


JANUARY 7th, when I will be home again I will need to find some kind of CLEANSE!!!

What She Ate 12/18/12: Christmas Candy Edition

I wish I could post a sign on the door at my work that says:

Ms. Dani will NOT be accepting Candy or Baked goods as a Holiday Gift. Please check your unwanted sugary morsels in the trash. 

Thank you, and have a Skinny Holiday. 

But I feel like that would be rude???

I have the WORST time NOT eating "gifts"!

I started my day with the best of intentions, with fresh rasperries for breakfast

& eating this salad for lunch

& at work after I had a banana as a snack, I was given this:


A Box of Chocolates from See's Candies from an ADORABLE kindergartner who even drew a picture on the back of the box!!!!!

My first instinct was to regift the box to my boyfriend or dad...

But then I took a bit out of each chocolate. 


Should I feel guilty about eating these edible gifts? Or should I enjoy them while I can?

Craziest thing Happened....

It is no secret that I have been struggling to eat healthy a midst the Christmas cookies, brownies and candies!!!

So I weighed myself today to see how I was holding up:

141.2 lbs

I lost another pound!!!!!!!

I'm guessing in spite of eating tons of goodies, I haven't been meeting my daily caloric needs???

I will try harder to document my food in pictures today!!!!!

This week is my LAST week of work & then I have  two weeks off!

Woot woot!

Tonight I am GOING to the gym!

I took last week off to concentrate on finals and I am SO happy to go back!

I'm so happy to go back to the gym!!!

Would it be over-dramatic to say I feel weaker for skipping a week of wods??

Lately I have been on the prowl for the PERFECT sugar cookie. 

The cookie needs to be able to maintain shape and taste GOOD

Well, I spent 3 hours Baking these suckers, only to finally taste one and be Disappointed!!!!

How hard is it to be honest about recipes?

Why do pinners pin things with the caption, BEST COOKIES EVER if the recipe tastes so, so so PLAIN

Anyways, I'm going to try this one next:

MOST OF ALL I've missed the accountability of daily blogging!!!!

Is it just me, or does it seem like Christmas Cookies are EVERYWHERE????!!!!!

The fact is, I'm okay with having "just one"

I think it's worse to limit myself..

But Without my daily blog posts I went a little CRAZY!

That's right...

What did I eat this Week?

Just ONE more week left and I will be FREE from school for a whole month!!!

Meanwhile I had enough time this week to snap a few pictures of my food!

End of Semester BLUES

So true

I am COUNTING DOWN THE DAYZ to finals....

2 more weeks!!!!!!!!!!

In the mean time, I apologize for my lack of blog posts :(

It's a sad day when you can't find the time to blog/take pictures of your food/share your workouts!!!

I'm looking forward to winter break where I will have a WHOLE MONTH to do nothing but

What She Ate 11/26/12

I felt SICK today so I took the day off work ;)

It didn't help that I had a ton of Homework to finish......

Thinking about taking tomorrow off too ;)

WARNING: The quality of my camera phone and the poor lighting makes all my food look GROSS today.

Yeah... Uneventful food day. 

Also, I did NOT workout because (as I stated earlier) I am feeling under the weather.

What She Ate 11/24/12

 Started out my day with good old TURKEY slices!!!!!!

 Keeping the theme of Thanksgiving Leftovers the HEALTHY way, I made a Turkey Salad....
It was NOT good but I ate it anyways. 
Turkey really does belong with mashed potatoes and gravy

 Went to my FAVORITE stir fry restaurant.

You get to go down a buffet line, choosing fresh, raw ingredients and filling a bowl with them.
Then you take them to a Man with a GIANT wok, and whatever you could fit in your bowl, gets fried right up for you!

It's so fresh & delicious!!!!

I don't eat noodles, so my bowl consisted of Chicken, Zuchinni, Water Chestnuts, Broccoli, & Onions 

My favorite thing about the place.....their guilt-free self serve frozen yogurt that comes with dinner!!!!

Today I will be attending my second thanksgiving...

My boyfriends family is having Thanksgiving on Sunday this year. 

There I will be tempted with homemade rolls, pie, stuffing.....

Okay I Might give in.
