Today was my FIRST day at Captain Jeff's Boot camp!!!

My sis in law (really just my boyfriends-brothers-wife, but sister in law is much easier to say) and I were super pumped to start our first day!

I can already tell this is going to be ALLOT of fun!

I truly loved my CrossFit gym, but it was VERY nice to workout with just one other person & feel like I was getting the attention and 1 on 1 time I needed with a coach!

We started with some dynamic stretching:

Then worked on some skills with the Barbells... Something I haven't done since my first days at CrossFit!

It was nice to go back to basics and refresh my memory on the skills I had learned (and some I had forgotten!)

Practicing perfect form before starting the lift
Split Jerk!

In these pics I am refreshing my memory of the proper form needed for Clean & Jerks... Can you tell I DO NOT have a triple extension!!?? Still working on that form!

For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about, a triple extension looks like this:
(the middle picture)

After the warm up & skill session, we did a Mini Wod!

I finished in 3 minutes and a small amount of seconds that I do not remember!!

It felt pretty great to workout, and be surrounded by people the I love and trust and I am VERY excited to continue my at home workouts!!!!

Question of the day....
WHAT am I doing in this Picture!!!?????

Found this gem with the workout pics my boyfriend took.. hmm??

  1. You checking to make sure your boobs are sweating too, duh. lol

Glad you're making it work at home!! I had to quit my boot camp a few months back as well. It was just killing my pockets. It sucked but hey you have to do what you have to do!

It doesn't have to cost much to get and stay fit :)

    1. Hahahah GOOD GUESS! knowing myself, I was probably doing something weird like that. Who knows lol!! I agree, it's refreshing to workout and be fit for FREE!

  2. I like your simple at home WOD!!
Are you looking for a bug?

    1. Thanks Kim!! :)
hahaha PROBABLY lol that's what happens when you workout outside! Last night we actually had a bat fly over our heads a couple times while we were warming up. It was terrifying!

  3. Sometimes workouts are so intense that you gotta make sure all your parts are still there ;)
    Good job :)
