Last July when I first began this journey (before I ever heard of Cross Fit), I started out by running in the mornings.
I struggled with running ALLOT - and I couldn't even run 1 mile without having to stop and rest in the middle.
I had a two mile route I would follow and I had to stop a couple times along the way to walk.
Was I lacking actual endurance? Or just mental strength?
Last night, as part of getting into my structured at home workout - I ran a mile for time.
Don't worry, before that I stretched my little heart out:
I ran my mile in 10.53!!!
10 minutes -
that's SO close to my 7.45 minute mile I used to run in High School!!!
I am so proud that I can now run a mile without stopping & I have increased my time from about a 15-17 min mile to a 10.53 minute mile!!
1 year of working hard really pays off!
We will be running a timed mile again in a couple months to see how much we have improved!!
I'm loving be able to workout on my own time!
Awesome! Keep it up!

ReplyDeleteVery good!!! It's a lot different than in high school when fitness seemed much easier. But you probably can even get better with practice. You have good attitude for improvement. :D
