Here is the wod we had programmed for today...
I made a HUGE mistake
Our coach said that this wod should go by pretty quickly, so if a 35lb kettlebell was pretty heavy for you, to switch to a a lighter kettle bell!
WELL
I grabbed a lighter kettlebell, but talked myself down from using the next size down (26 lbs)
and I grabbed the 18lb kettle bell!
I did the whole workout unbroken and finished in 10 minutes....
It took everyone else who grabbed more appropriate sized kettlebells (heavier) about 15 minutes..
SO
Since I made it WAY to easy on myself, I was punished challenged to do a D-Ball ladder
I had to do 5-4-3-2-1
Starting with 5 on the 40 lb d ball
4 on the 60 lb d ball
3 on the 80 lb d ball
2 on the 100 lb ball
& 1 on the 120 lb ball
(which I could not get over my shoulder)
I was pooped at the end!
But also I felt kind of special that my coach said I was "too strong" for the 18 lb bell after I finished the wod, and then challenged me 1 on 1 to make sure I got a good enough workout in!!
I am definitely feeling ALLOT better about myself at CrossFit and my abilities.
I just need to build up my SELF confidence, and not tell myself things are "too heavy"
I find that allot of the time I sell myself short at CrossFit, until some of the more experienced people or coaches see me and tell me to add weight to my bars or step it up...
Have you ever struggled with self confidence at the gym?
